Big Blue Comics publisher and writer Kyle J. Kaminski will be at Write On, Oceanside! – Oceanside’s Annual Literary Festival
Celebrate the power of storytelling at Write On, Oceanside!, the city’s premier literary festival highlighting local authors and their work. The 24th annual event will take place Saturday, October 11, 2025, in and around the Oceanside Civic Center Community Rooms from 10:00 – 4:00.
Organized by the Oceanside Cultural Arts Foundation and the Oceanside Public Library, with support from the Friends of the Oceanside Public Library, this free community festival has grown into one of San Diego County’s largest literary fairs. Don’t miss this inspiring day of books, authors, and creativity in the heart of Oceanside.
This Saturday, September 27th, is Local Comic Shop Day and I’ll be at Knowhere Games and Comics in San Marcos, CA. This is a fantastic event spotlighting everything that makes your collectible and comic stores the greatest destination for creativity. They’ll be more local creators, discount sales, and exclusive merchandise for the event. I hope to see everybody visiting their local shops for this national event. The latest THE RESISTANTS campaign has come to a successful end! Thanks to everyone who supported us and helped spread the word about these exciting new issues. Emmanuel is finishing up the colors for the last pages of issue #3. I’ll be working hard to refine the lettering and production to get these books to the printer as soon as possible. There’s some Kickstarter logistics to deal with first. They should collect all the money and send me the funds in about two weeks. Then the surveys will go out to confirm addresses and other backer details.

The Bounty Hunter Blitz #1 is an all-new THE RESISTANTS mini-series written by co-creator K.J. Kaminski (Sophia Saturn) with artwork by returning series artist Jason Johnson (Gen 13, Impulse) & joined by colorist Emmaunuel Ordaz Torres (Heavy Metal, Obey Me). Manipulated and framed for crimes they didn’t willingly commit, THE RESISTANTS have become some of the world’s most wanted fugitives. Desperate to to clear their bounties, they travel to the nexus of the bounty hunter trade, the Vegas Independent Territory, to seek the aid of former allies. But when an army of hunters is after you, sometimes the only thing to do…is to find a bigger bounty.

Six months ago, INTERVAL, manipulated and controlled by the Takeo Corporate-State leadership, executed their CEO in front of the world; ending “The Broadcast Offensive”. THE RESISTANTS, elevated to the region’s most wanted fugitives, sought refuge in the harsh deserts and hidden caves of the northern Drylands. INTERVAL and KESTREL put the fate of the team ahead of their mounting tension, but GRIM, FULCRUM, MELEE, & ADAM are desperate to resolve their fugitive status, as supplies continue to dwindle. INTERVAL & GRIM convene with allies in the VEGAS INDEPENDENT TERRITORY, a hub of the hunters’ trade, to try to clear the group’s ever-growing bounties.
